LMR-600 is LMR-400's bigger brother: heavier center conductor, larger dielectric, roughly half the loss -- under 0.45 dB per 100 feet across HF. Bigger copper runs cooler and lasts longer.
When 600 earns its keep: runs past 100 feet, stations running full legal limit around the clock, and installs you intend to bury once and forget for decades. Minimum bend radius about 6 inches -- gentle sweeps, not sharp corners. Measure radio to feedpoint and add about 15%.
