The Problem With Temporary Antennas
Most emergency antennas are wire solutions meant to go up fast and come down after. In a sustained event that is a liability, not a virtue. A wire in a tree is a single storm away from being a dead station, and the moment you need it most is the moment nobody can climb.
A Greyline is a permanent property asset that happens to be an antenna. It stands as a flagpole, it survives the weather that took the wire down, and it does not depend on a buried radial field that a parking lot or a frozen site will not allow.
Continuous Digital And ALE
Engineered for sustained Automatic Link Establishment and high-speed digital modes. The 6061-T6 radiator handles full legal limit at 100% duty cycle with no traps or coils to overheat. System power is constrained by the selected ATU rating.
Zero-Radial VDA Physics
A quarter-wave vertical wants dozens of buried radials to work well. The Greyline is a vertical dipole: the return current flows through the lower element instead of the earth, so performance depends far less on ground conductivity. Deployable on rooftop, asphalt, concrete, or frozen soil.
Structural Rating
ASCE 7-10 engineered. 35 to 155 MPH depending on model, height, and configuration. Ratings by model available on request. 316 marine-grade stainless hardware throughout. 7-year structural guarantee.
One Antenna, 160 Through 6
NVIS regional coverage and low-angle DX from a single feedpoint, 1.5 to 54 MHz. No band switching, no antenna farm, no second mast to maintain.
Low Visibility Profile
The flagpole configuration presents as a standard commercial-grade institutional flagpole. Antenna function is entirely internal — no visible stubs, loading coils, or external evidence. Appropriate where a discrete RF profile is operationally or aesthetically required. Flies a full-size flag.
