Skyline Series · Heavy-Duty · 37 Feet · 160-6M · No Radials · Made in USA
The Skyline 37 HD: The Tallest Greyline, on the Strongest Base.
The 28' HD with the 9' DX Whip on top: 37 feet of HF vertical, every band 160 through 6 from a single feedpoint, no radials, built on an oversized heavy-duty base. The same height as the Skyline 37, for sites where the wind makes the decision: open ground, ridgelines, coastline, high plains and northern winters.
About 85 MPH at 37 Feet · Now Taking Orders
Our engineering model puts the Skyline 37 HD at about 85 mph with the whip on, 37 feet in the air. Ships in 1-2 weeks, built alongside the 28' HD, with free shipping to the USA and Canada. That figure is a preliminary engineering estimate; the PE-certified rating will be published here when it is complete.
Why the Whip Pays
Height is aperture. On 40, 80 and 160, where every backyard vertical is electrically short, nine more feet adds radiator exactly where it counts. Higher up the dial, the antenna's strongest band moves down from 10 meters toward 17 and 20. In NEC modeling over average ground, a 37-foot Greyline reaches about +4 dBi on 17 meters at the best DX angle, and every band still works.

Why No Radials, and Why It Works
A traditional quarter-wave vertical feeds at its base, so every ohm of ground resistance sits in series with the antenna and steals signal before it leaves your yard. The Greyline VDA is a vertical dipole: return current flows through the lower element, not a buried radial field, so the antenna stops depending on your soil. Frozen ground, rock and sand included. One feedpoint, every band.
Walk It Down Before the Storm
Pair it with the 3" HD Tilt-Up Base, built alongside the antenna with the same one-direction pivot that stops dead at vertical. One rule for every tall antenna: when the forecast turns, walk it down.
