Yes, the Greyline HF Vertical Antenna & the HOA Flagpole Antenna both require an ATU whether it's a Remote Tuner at the base of the antenna or a tabletop Tuner in your shack. One is required as most radio's internal autotuner will not handle the required load of this RF Antenna Design. This is by design to insure reliable, robust, secure HF communications.

Listed here is a collection of Remote Antenna Tuners that pair well with our Greyline Antennas serving 1:1 SWR resonance across the RF spectrum, all frequencies from *160-6M as you tune the dial of your radio. Military & Government agencies, NGOs & Professional industries, CB, and Ham Radio ops implement either method for mission success. *Note: MFJ tuners do not travel to 6M, they are 160-10M by their design.
