What to Expect When You Order Your Greyline Antenna

Thank you for choosing Greyline. You’ve made a serious decision and we don’t take that lightly. Here’s exactly what happens next, in easy language.

Greyline antennas are built in limited production runs by a small team that takes the work personally. Each unit is assembled, hand-checked, and shipped by the people who built it. That means we’re not a warehouse fulfillment operation — we’re an artisan manufacturer outfitting hams, and the difference shows up in every step of what you’re about to experience.

What Ships From Where — Read This First

Your order may arrive as more than one box, from more than one place, on more than one day. That is by design, and every box gets its own tracking number:

• The antenna — the aluminum sections, splices, insulators, and PVC ground sleeve — ships from the bench that built it, in one long box.
• The feed kit and the flag kit sometimes ship in a separate second box from our other location. If your antenna box arrives without the feedline, that is why — the second box is behind it with its own tracking.
• A remote tuner (ATU), if you ordered one, always ships separately — it is its own line on your order and its own shipment, with its own tracking, and it is never inside the antenna box.
• Accessories — the tilt base, whip, extensions, hardware kits — ship with the antenna when ordered together, or on their own when ordered alone.

Your order page shows each shipment and its tracking as it goes out. If a box you expected has not shown a tracking number, call us — that is exactly the question we want.

What’s in the Boxes

Together, your shipments make a complete, ready-to-deploy antenna system:

• The Greyline Performance antenna you ordered — HF Vertical (DXV) or DX Flagpole (DXF) configuration, in the height you selected
• All necessary stainless steel hardware , pre-fitted for straightforward assembly
• The Greyline high-power feed system and RF choke kit — engineered for legal-limit and high-power service
• Threaded transition sections connecting the graduated-wall tubing — current production replaces older compression collars with a lighter, stronger design at the same wind ratings
• A complete flag kit with all accessories (HOA flagpole orders only)

No buried radials. No guy wires. No mystery components. Open the boxes, lay out the parts, and you have everything you need to be on the air.

How You’ll Know When It Ships

You’ll receive automatic shipping and tracking notifications at the email and phone you provided at checkout — one set per box. The system pings you at three key moments:

• When each package leaves our facility
• When it arrives in your destination city
• When it’s delivered

If you don’t see the shipping notification within a reasonable window, check your spam folder first — then call us. We’d rather hear from you twice than have you wondering.

How Long It Takes

We ship as quickly as we can without compromising quality. Production sequence, inspection, and packaging happen in that order — not in reverse. We’re hams too, and we know the wait between ordering and operating is the hardest part.

After Your Antenna Arrives

A few resources to make your install and first contacts smooth:

Assembly documents. Step-by-step instructions are here . Print them, lay them next to the box, and work in order.

Feedline planning. Coax choice and length matter more than most operators realize. The free Greyline Feedline Loss Calculator shows exactly how many watts arrive at the antenna with your specific cable.

Tuner setup. If you ordered a remote ATU, the configuration guide is in the tuner and balun feed system article .

First contacts. Once you’re on the air, log them. Send us a note when something memorable happens — a 100 DXCC milestone, a serious DX contact, a museum ship weekend run, an EmComm exercise. We feature operator stories in The Signal Report .
