Base: 20-foot DX Flagpole, 160-6M, no radials, HOA-friendly.
Top: 9-foot DX Whip — two-minute install, no tools. The flag and the whip fly together; nothing about the whip displaces the flag.
Total height: 29 feet of effective aperture, the balanced number.
Best bands: 40M, 30M, 20M, 17M (modeled positive gain, clean pattern). 15M transitional; multi-lobe on 12M and 10M.
FT8 / digital: Full duty cycle at rated power — a solid radiator with no traps or loading coils to heat.
Storm rule: when the forecast turns, flag down and nothing on top. Federal flag protocol says the same thing, and it is what keeps the antenna inside its rating.
