Send Us Your Shaky Video
Phone in one hand, the other on the pole. No tripod, no script, no editing. Thirty seconds of your antenna in your yard, your radio on the air, or a contact in progress is worth more to the next operator than anything we could write.
The video above the Tilt-Up Base, Tom N3EQF raising his 24-footer in fourteen seconds, was shot on a phone in a Florida driveway. It has sold more tilt bases than any paragraph on the page.
What to Film
- The antenna where it lives: the yard, the flag, the HOA street view.
- A raise or lower on the Tilt-Up Base, start to finish.
- Your shack during a contact, the S-meter, the voice or the CW coming back.
- Install day. Even the part that went sideways.
- Hold the phone upright. Vertical video is what the phone-sized world watches.
How to Send It
Email a link to CQ@greylineperformance.com: a Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud or YouTube link all work. Put your callsign in the subject.
Or text it to 435-200-4902 with your call. Short clips travel fine by text.
What Happens Next
We share it, credited to you by callsign, on Greyline's YouTube Shorts, X and Facebook, in the Wednesday Net, and on the page for your antenna. We keep our own copy, so it stays up even if you ever close your channel.
By sending it, you're giving Greyline permission to post it with your call. If you'd rather stay unnamed, say so and we will. Your call goes on the Clubhouse wall the same day.
One request: don't wait for a good one. Send the first one. A shaky clip of a real yard is what convinces a careful operator; a polished one convinces nobody.
