HF Vertical Antenna · 160–6M · No Radials · Made in USA
The 16' DXV — Clean, Capable, No Flag Required.
The DXV16 is the bare vertical for operators who want maximum performance without the flagpole aesthetic. No flag hardware, no HOA paperwork — just the Greyline VDA radiator delivering 160–6M coverage from 16 feet of engineered aluminum. Return current flows through the lower element, not through soil, significantly reducing ground coupling with no buried radials required. Tower mount, rooftop, deck, dock — the DXV16 installs anywhere and performs everywhere.

The Physics
Why No Radials — and Why It Works
Traditional quarter-wave verticals feed at the current maximum at the base — pushing maximum I²R loss directly through soil. Every ohm of ground resistance sits in series with your radiation resistance, stealing signal before it ever leaves your yard.
The Greyline VDA is a vertical dipole. Return current flows through the lower element — not through the earth. This design significantly reduces ground coupling and removes your performance's dependency on a soil-based return path. Proper current distribution raises radiation resistance, improving efficiency without a single buried wire.
