HF Vertical Antenna · 160–6M · No Radials · Made in USA
The 24' DXV — Maximum Performance. Minimum Footprint.
The DXV24 is where serious DX operators land when a flagpole isn't the goal but every dB still matters. At 24 feet the VDA design achieves near 5/8λ on the upper HF bands, delivering up to 3.5 dBi of low-angle gain from a single freestanding radiator. Return current flows through the lower element, not through soil, significantly reducing ground coupling with no radial field required. Tower mount, rooftop, remote site, rapid deployment — the DXV24 performs in any environment.

The Physics
Why No Radials — and Why It Works
Traditional quarter-wave verticals feed at the current maximum at the base — pushing maximum I²R loss directly through soil. Every ohm of ground resistance sits in series with your radiation resistance, stealing signal before it leaves your yard.
The Greyline VDA is a vertical dipole. Return current flows through the lower element — not through the earth. This design significantly reduces ground coupling and removes your performance's dependency on a soil-based return path. Proper current distribution raises radiation resistance, improving efficiency without a single buried wire.
