Accessibility

Ham radio has always welcomed operators who are blind or live with a disability. Our website should too. This page explains what we have done, what we are still working on, and how to get help.

Need help now? If you use a screen reader or other assistive technology and something on our site gets in your way, we will help you complete your order. Email CQ@greylineperformance.com with Accessibility in the subject, or call 435-200-4902.

Fastest path to every price: the Prices page, second item at the top of every page.

Our Goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most accessibility work is measured against. We are not all the way there yet, and this page says so plainly.

What We Have Done

  • One page with every price. The Prices page lists every antenna and add-on in large type, in tables a screen reader can read row by row, with a link to each product.
  • Checkout in one step. Every Buy link on the Prices page goes straight to checkout, skipping the busier product pages. Each link says what it buys.
  • Prices are text. Prices and product names are written as text, never baked into an image.
  • Described images. Product photos carry written descriptions for screen readers.
  • No overlay widgets. We fix the pages themselves rather than adding an accessibility overlay. Many blind users tell us overlays get in the way more than they help.

What We Are Still Working On

  • Some older pages and articles have not been reviewed with a screen reader yet.
  • Some assembly drawings are PDFs or images that may not read well with a screen reader. Ask, and we will send the steps as plain text.
  • Some videos may not have accurate captions yet. Ask, and we will send a written version.

Tell Us What Got in Your Way

If something on this site did not work with your screen reader, magnifier, keyboard, or anything else you use, tell us the page and what happened. Email CQ@greylineperformance.com with Accessibility in the subject. Every report helps the next operator who comes after you.
