HF Vertical Antenna · 160–6M · No Radials · Made in USA
The 12' DXV — Maximum Restriction. Zero Compromise on Physics.
When height is your tightest constraint, the DXV12 delivers. No flagpole hardware, no HOA paperwork — just the core Greyline VDA radiator in its most compact form. The Vertical Dipole Antenna design returns current through the lower element, not through soil, significantly reducing ground coupling and removing the need for buried radials entirely. Deck mount, roof mount, dock, tilt-mount, or in-ground — the DXV12 goes where a flagpole can't.

The Physics
Why No Radials — and Why It Works
Traditional quarter-wave verticals feed at the current maximum at the base — pushing maximum I²R loss directly through soil. Every ohm of ground resistance sits in series with your radiation resistance, stealing signal before it ever leaves your yard.
The Greyline VDA is a vertical dipole. Return current flows through the lower element — not through the earth. This design significantly reduces ground coupling and removes your performance's dependency on a soil-based return path. Proper current distribution raises radiation resistance, improving efficiency without a single buried wire.
