Company Overview
About Greyline Performance
Greyline Performance designs and manufactures high-resilience HF antenna infrastructure for amateur radio operators, government agencies, research institutions, defense contractors, and emergency management organizations. Our VDA (Vertical Dipole Antenna) systems require no buried radial field, deploy on any surface, and operate across 1.5-54 MHz from a single feedpoint. Systems are in active service with government and diplomatic facilities, research programs, state emergency operations centers, and defense contractors. All products are manufactured in Sun Valley, Idaho from domestic materials.
On customer identification: Greyline does not name agencies, institutions, or installations in any public or promotional material, and does not provide customer references that identify them. Operators who require a discrete profile in the field are entitled to the same discretion from their vendor.
Core Competencies
What We Deliver
Low Visibility HF Systems
Antenna systems presenting as standard commercial-grade flagpoles. Internal antenna function, with no visible stubs, loading coils, or external evidence. 160M-6M from a single feedpoint. Appropriate for installations requiring a discrete RF profile.
Zero-Radial VDA Physics
Off-center-fed Vertical Dipole Antenna design. Return current flows through the lower element rather than through a buried radial field. Deployable on rooftop, concrete, asphalt, or frozen soil. Performance far less dependent on ground conductivity than a quarter-wave vertical.
Mission-Grade Construction
Heavy-wall 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, 316 marine-grade stainless hardware throughout. ASCE 7-10 wind load engineered. 7-year structural guarantee. No traps, no coils, no failure points under sustained digital operation.
Field And Research Deployment
No radial installation, no ground system preparation. Single ground sleeve. Suited to sites where a conventional ground system is impractical or impossible: rock, permafrost, sand, rooftops. Compatible with ALE, STANAG 4538, MIL-STD-188-141B, and all digital HF modes.
