The 100W Remote ATU That Just Works

If you're running 100 watts and you want a tuner that mounts at the antenna and stays out of your way, the LDG RT-100 is the answer we ship. Weather-sealed enclosure. Wide match range. Fast tune. 1.8 to 54 MHz. Done.

Why Remote, Why At The Feedpoint

A remote ATU mounted at the antenna feedpoint keeps the matching network close to the radiator. Coax loss stays off the system. SWR shows up at the radio as a flat 1:1 because the matching is happening at the antenna, not 75 feet away in the shack.

For a 100W class operator on an HF vertical, that geometry is hard to beat. The RT-100 sits in a weather-sealed enclosure rated for outdoor mounting on the pole or on a nearby post. Once it's tuned for a band, it remembers. Switch bands, it tunes again in under a second on most matches.

Desktop or Remote, The Wire Is Still The Wire

Calculate Your Real Power-At-Antenna

Whether you run a desktop ATU in the shack or a remote at the feedpoint, your coax still carries the signal. Run your station through the Feedline Loss Calculator to see how much of your transmitter power actually makes it to the radiator. The answer often clarifies the desktop-vs-remote decision.

Honest Notes For Heavy Operators

A few things worth saying out loud:

If you run an amp above 100W, this is not your tuner. A high-power station needs a high-power ATU, either desktop or remote in the 1000-3000W class. Operators in that tier source their own. The RT-100 is built for the 100W class buyer.

For continuous-key FT8 sessions at full legal power, cycle the tuner between bands rather than holding key-down. Standard ATU practice on a duty-cycle-sensitive load. The RT-100 handles SSB and digital at rated power with no drama; the note is for operators who push the envelope.

Field Note

About 67% of Greyline operators who add a tuner choose the LDG RT-100. Not because it's the only option that works -- most desktop and remote ATUs work fine on a Greyline VDA. The RT-100 wins the choice on availability, price, and the fact that it just runs.

If you already own a tuner you trust, run it. The RT-100 is the easy answer if you don't.
